New York New York

After eight nights in New York we still din't manage to do everything we wanted to do! I guess we will have to come back again one day! Don't think that it will be anytime real soon as I really need to get a job when I get back. OMG there were so many graphic designers in the phone book here! Saw some really good examples of graphic design on posters etc...especially at the Met and near the Lincoln Centre....but of course I forgot to take photos...Doh!
We spent plenty of time in Central Park this time and managed to see about 60% of it this time...we even hired a row boat and went rowing on the lake. That was good fun and the only exercise I had had in weeks...apart from walking miles everyday.
Circle line boat trip was great to go around the whole of manhattan Island and very informative.
UN - ...well we got a photo but could not get within 500mts of the place as it was all blocked off as the security coucil was meeting.
Macy's.....I love 40% off sales and the extra 10% discountstourists get and the fact that it is the end of thir summer and the start of ours....so I bought soooooooooo much!!
We saw about 20 west higland terriers in central park and just being walked all over.....so we got very home sick for poor jack. Had to ring the kennel to make sure he is ok ofter the Sydney dust storms......he is having a ball and probably won't want to come home.........It is so wierd that I miss my dog so much!!!
I had the BEST Ever chocolate cake at magnolia bakery (The bakery the Carrie wnet to for cup cakes in Sex and the city!) HMMMMMMM yum!
got to goget the plane now.
Off to San Fran now!

LA and Las Vegas

Sorry for the delay in writing an entry....using free internet in the Apple shop in Vegas right now.

LA - As usual our first day wasvery tiring as we only managed to get 2 hours sleep on the plane. once we got checked into the hotel we managed to get another two hours sleep, followed by many drinks and dinner then off to a night club in West Hollywood. Hmm this seemed like a good idea at the time...not realy after being awake for so long with that much Alcohol....we eneded up dancing on the dance floor and got hor and didn't really remember much the nexxt day ...other that we were sooooooo tired we slept into 3pm.....opps wasted day...but we were a bit wasted so needed the catch up sleep!

Drove to Las Vegas the next day (Sunday) we stopped off at the outlet stores and well......lets just say Mr Rudd's stimulus package was very well spent....about 3 times over!!!I think I managed to spend about $600US......on the following.....

4 jeans

2 shoes

7 underwear

1 shirt

2 jumper

3 polo shirts

2 tee shirts

1 hooded top

1 Nike runners

12 socks

that's all I can remember right now...but I have more shopping to do in NYC.... Money well spent as I figured out all this would have cost me about $1500 AUD.

Vegas - we have enjoyed vages, but probably don't need to ever come back again. not a lot has changed here from last time. A little less hecktic this time as we weren't attnding a wedding this time. Gmbled a bit but so far haven't really won anything....off to new york tomorrow.

Off to the United States of America....Again!

Hello,

Grant and I are going on an overseas holiday to America again. We are basically going to do the same trip as last time but this time there is no wedding in Las Vegas, so we will not spend as much time in Vegas.

Here is a run down of our trip....

23/09 - 30/09 New York

01/10 - 04/10 San Francisco

05/10 - 09/10 Los Angeles

We are flying on the new A380 with Qantas, so hopefully there is a little more leg room and better entertainment etc. Fingers crossed for an upgrade to Business....but that would be highly unlikely! : (

Anyway, this is the place to come if you want to read some updates about our trip....eventually I will be able to add some photos like I did last time. Of course the entries may be a few days late as generally I will update this when sitting in an airport waiting for a flight.
